(Baonghean) - Song Hieu Agricultural Forestry Company Limited, owned by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, is organized and managed according to the model: Board of members, general director and controller. The company currently has 6 forest farms, 1 forest product processing enterprise and a design investigation team; the total number of employees is 613 people, in addition, the unit also has a joint venture to produce MDF wood panels. Over the years, the unit has always risen to the top position in the forestry industry nationwide.

The company is effectively performing two tasks:

1. Land lease for production and business: 8,794.42 ha.

Over the years, the unit has always been at the forefront of innovation, improving the quality and efficiency of operations "from the selection and creation of breeds, intensive forest planting to exploitation, processing and consumption". Currently, the company has invested in planting 7,887.68 hectares. Every year, it exceeds the plan and its obligations to the State, creating enough jobs for workers and 1,068 contracted households with an average income of 5.3 million VND/person/month, an increase of 20%/year.

In 2016, the output value reached 80.2 billion VND, equal to 128% of the plan; newly planted 900 hectares of raw material forests and 180 hectares of rubber trees; produced 3 million high-quality seedlings for afforestation and services in the area; exploited, processed and consumed nearly 40,000 m3 of planted forest wood; paid the budget 5.6 billion VND; profit reached 15 billion VND; invested in expanding production 14.9 billion VND.

2. Performing public service tasks:

Protecting existing natural forests: 22,468.77 hectares, contracted to groups, teams, stations and workers are inspected and paid monthly. The forests grow and develop well in the area, there are no forest fires, and there are no illegal forest product trading spots. Implementing the motto of good business on the production forest area to balance the money for protecting natural forests when the state budget supports only about 12.5% ​​for this work.

In addition to the above two tasks, the joint venture has also brought high results. In 2016, 40,500 m3 of MDF wood was produced and consumed, with revenue of 150 billion VND, profit of 15.5 billion VND, budget contribution of 11 billion VND, and employee income of 6.5 million VND/month, an increase of 15% compared to 2015.

Promoting the achieved results, in 2017, the company strives to overcome difficulties and exceed the targets: Output value reaches 82 - 85 billion VND; planting 750 hectares of forest; exploiting, processing and consuming 60,000 m3 of planted forest wood; fulfilling arising State obligations, investing in expanding production of 13 - 15 billion VND; completing the project of arranging, innovating and improving the efficiency in performing the company's tasks according to Resolution 30 NQ/TW of the Politburo and Decree 118/ND-CP of the Prime Minister on schedule.
