These days, businessman Nguyen Quoc Hoa (58 years old, from Thai Binh) is diligently building the Truong Sa 2 submarine. This is the next generation of submarines.The second mini was designed by Mr. Hoa himself.

"The cost of building the first two mini submarines was more than ten billion VND. Many people felt sorry for me because that was the money I had worked hard for and saved for many years," Mr. Hoa shared.

Mr. Hoa said that the Truong Sa 2 submarine will fix the errors of the two previous mini submarines.
"Truong Sa 2 is considered a miniature version of the Kilo 636 submarine, using many modern technologies, meeting the most stringent technical requirements of a mini submarine with an almost completely automatic electronic control system," he said.
According to the design, Truong Sa 2 is 9 m long, weighs 22 tons, has an internal hull height of 1.8 m, and can accommodate a maximum of 6 crew members. The ship has a speed of 35 km per hour, can dive to a depth of 250 m, and has a range of 3,000 km.
According to the owner of the submarine, it is not yet possible to announceprogress of closing Truong Sa 2. However,The hull is divided into many categories, engineers and workers are completing each part, then assembling them together; the engine and some important equipment are imported from abroad and will be adjusted to suit the ship's features...
“Truong Sa 2 is a mini submarine model with basic design and configuration. After completion, the ship will depend on the customer's purpose of use to add necessary features,” Mr. Hoa said, adding that the cost to complete this ship is about more than 10 billion VND.
