After just 12 days of release, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has reached the revenue milestone of 1.1 billion USD worldwide, breaking the record of "Jurassic World".

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is still the number one attraction at the box office around the world. During Christmas alone, Part 7 of this legendary blockbuster earned 153.5 million USD in North America, bringing the total revenue in this market after 12 days of release to 544.6 million USD.

In the global market, the revenue of “Star Wars 7” has reached 1.1 billion USD and became the fastest movie to reach the billion dollar mark in history. Previously, the movie holding this billion dollar record was “Jurassic World” when it brought in 1 billion USD in revenue after 13 days of showing in the summer movie season this year. The film's revenue promises to increase rapidly when it is released in the populous Chinese market on January 9.
