(Baonghean.vn) - In order to deal with the problem of rats destroying crops, Mr. Trinh Chiem in Quynh Giang commune (Quynh Luu, Nghe An province) has used improved crescent-shaped traps with locks to kill rats, killing thousands of rats each month.

The trap Mr. Chiem is using is a semicircular shape and was bought at the market for 3,000 VND each. Because it is not suitable for practical use, he has re-engineered the trap lock to be a circle; inside the circle, he will put bait made of rice. When the mouse eats the rice, it will be caught in the trap. With this initiative, catching mice is very effective and anyone can do it. Photo: Viet Hung |

Mr. Chiem said that many people have come to him for instructions on how to use this trap to kill rats. "I do not hide anything about my profession, whoever learns, I am willing to guide and re-create the trap for them to use so that it is easier to catch" - he said. Photo: Viet Hung |
