Unique collection of World Cup 2018 commemorative coins from various countries
Apart from the Russian 100 ruble note which is in circulation but is being 'screamed' for a high price, most of the other 2018 World Cup money is just for souvenirs.

Monnaie de Paris (Paris Mint) is one of the most famous mints in the world, with a history of more than 1,150 years, under the French government. On the occasion of the 2018 World Cup, the mint issued 4 types of commemorative euro coins. The smallest denomination is 10 euros. One side of the coin shows a player kicking a ball against a background of Russian architecture. The other side shows the tournament logo and Russian cultural decorations. This coin is sold for 69 euros, with a minting output of 50,000 coins. |

The Paris Mint's 50 euro coin has the exact same design as the 10 euro coin, but is made of 999 gold. The coin is 22mm in diameter. Only 3,000 coins were minted, with each coin selling for 545 euros. |

On February 27, the Royal Mint of Spain officially released two 2018 World Cup commemorative coins. The gold version has a face value of 100 euros, with only 3,000 coins produced, measuring 23mm in diameter and weighing 6.75g. The silver version has the same design as the 10 euro denomination, with a production of 50,000 coins, measuring 40mm in diameter and weighing 27g. |

Although Italy did not participate in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, it has a 10 euro coin to commemorate the sporting event. There are a total of 6,000 silver coins, 34mm in diameter, weighing 22g. This coin is on sale for 70 euros. |

Unlike other countries, the Portuguese National Mint (Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda) decided to issue commemorative coins for the 2018 World Cup with a face value of 2.5 euros. This coin has 3 different versions in terms of materials: gold, silver, and cupro-nickel alloy. The corresponding issued quantities are 5,000, 15,000 and 150,000 coins, respectively. |

The Solomon Islands issued a commemorative silver rectangular note with a symbolic face value of $10. The note measures 90 x 45 mm. One side of the note features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by a series number from 1 to 2018. The other side features an image of a crowd cheering in the style of the 'Mexican wave' or 'La ola wave'. This is accompanied by a close-up of a pair of feet dribbling the ball. |

As the host country, the Central Bank of Russia (RCB) issued a 100 ruble note for the 2018 World Cup. The note features an image of a boy watching a flying save by legendary goalkeeper Lev Yashin of the former Soviet Union. The polymer note measures 150 x 65mm. A total of 20.4 million of these notes were issued. What's special is that this note is not only a souvenir but also has circulation value. According to the current exchange rate, this note is worth about 37,000 VND but is being sold for several hundred thousand VND each in Vietnam. |
