The 360-degree observatory in Denmark allows visitors to observe the natural beauty and animal life without affecting the pristine condition of the forest.
The project, called Treetop Experience, is located within the Camp Adventure Resort in the Gisselfeld Klosters Skove nature reserve, south of Copenhagen, Denmark. |
Treetop Experience was designed and built by Copenhagen-based architecture firm EFFEKT in a spiral shape, 45 meters above ground with a total walkway length of 700 meters. Standing on top of Treetop Experience, visitors can have a 360-degree view, covering an area with a radius of up to 25 kilometers. |
Treetop Experience uses entirely natural materials extracted from the forest for construction, bringing a sense of harmony with nature. According to EFFEKT, the structure of Treetop Experience is carefully calculated to ensure stability and can withstand a maximum load equivalent to 10,000 people at a time. |
The walkways on the tower are seamlessly connected, from low to high, combined with unique structures to give visitors experiences with different levels of emotions. |
Next to the observation tower, an elevated path through the forest has also been built to serve the needs of visitors. Visitors can freely walk, observe the tree canopy and wild animals living in the forest. This is a unique experience that is not easily encountered if walking on the ground. |
Depending on the area, the road has different elevation divisions. |
The project is expected to open to visitors in mid-2018. |
