Unique image of 1,256 students of a school wearing pith helmets at the opening ceremony

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 5, the opening ceremony of the new school year at Thanh Chuong 3 High School took place solemnly and enthusiastically. 1,256 students from 30 classes were all dressed neatly, in black pants, white shirts, and especially, all wore neat pith helmets.

Teacher Nguyen Nhat Duc, Secretary of the School Youth Union, said that the school does not require students to wear pith helmets during the Opening Ceremony, but only encourages students to be creative and use pith helmets in studying National Defense Education at the beginning of the new school year to have a unified formation.

According to Mr. Duc, students wearing pith helmets during the Opening Ceremony also has many advantages, not only to protect from the sun, but also to form a neat and beautiful formation. This is the first Opening Ceremony where students of Thanh Chuong 3 High School all wore pith helmets.

Nguyen Huu Toan, a 12th grade student, said: “For me, wearing a pith helmet in national defense education is very familiar, but this is the first time wearing a pith helmet in the opening ceremony. I think wearing a pith helmet in this ceremony is very suitable, simple but beautiful, showing the school's own style.”
