Unique fishing festival in Tien Thuy (Quynh Luu)
(Baonghan.vn) - On the morning of February 21 (ie January 14 of the lunar calendar), Tien Thuy commune (Quynh Luu) solemnly held the Main Temple Festival and Cau Ngu ceremony in 2016.
This is an activity held once a year at the beginning of the local new year with the wish to pray for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, a prosperous life for villagers, smooth sailing for local fishermen, and a full catch of squid.

At exactly 7am, the Fishing Festival is held with a procession of the gods in a palanquin from the Main Temple, through the villages and to Lach Quen port, boarding 8 boats to the mouth of the canal to perform the fishing ceremony. The palanquin procession consists of 8 young men carrying the palanquin. |

The train is ready to take the god to the creek for the ceremony. Besides the ceremony, the festival is also organized quite diversely with traditional games such as boat racing, human chess, wrestling, cockfighting, soccer, volleyball, etc. |
