At residential group 21, Tan Quang ward, Tuyen Quang city, local people are rushing to complete the final stages to complete the Mid-Autumn lantern model "Carp watching the moon". In order to complete this model, people started working on it nearly 2 months ago. The model is nearly 11 meters long, nearly 5 meters high, with a cost of more than 16 million VND. The Mid-Autumn lantern model of residential group 21, Tan Quang ward is considered one of the most beautiful models of this year's festival season.

Ms. Phung Thi Thanh Huong, Party Secretary of Residential Group 21, Tan Quang Ward, Tuyen Quang City, said: Taking the idea from the folk painting "Carp Watching the Moon" with the meaning of aiming for human perfection and fulfillment, through this model, the parents of Residential Group 21 send the message of wishing their children to always be good, study well and mature in the future. To complete the model "Carp Watching the Moon", the residential group mobilized people in the group to contribute funds according to the ability of each household. This activity has increased the spirit of solidarity of the people in the residential group. Also according to Ms. Huong, before starting to build the model, Residential Group 21, Tan Quang Ward had a meeting and decided to design the model in a "dynamic" style, that is, the "Carp Watching the Moon" model will wiggle its tail, shake its body, and release bubbles through a motion transmission system designed and created by the people in the group.

The model is nearly 12 meters long, 3.5 meters high, curved at 5 peaks, completed with a cost of more than 20 million VND contributed by the people in the group. Mr. Pham Duy Huu, head of the front work committee of group 22, Phan Thiet ward, shared that the dragon is an image with a special position in the culture and beliefs of the Vietnamese people and is a sacred symbol related to the legend of the dragon and fairy's descendants of the Vietnamese people. The dragon is the image of favorable weather, a sacred animal ranked first among the four sacred animals "dragon, unicorn, turtle, phoenix". Through the "Golden Dragon" model, grandparents and parents in the residential group hope that their children and grandchildren will always remember their origin as "children of Lac and Hong", be proud of the race of the Vietnamese people, and later contribute their strength and intelligence to build and protect the Fatherland.

At this year’s Thanh Tuyen festival, in addition to the Mid-Autumn lantern models inspired by Vietnamese folk legends, fairy tales, and fables, there are also many models inspired by heroic historical events of our country. Next to the “Echoes of Dien Bien” model, Ms. Tran Thi Con, head of residential group No. 2, Tan Quang ward, Tuyen Quang city, said: Every full moon of August, people in the residential group make lanterns for children to enjoy the Mid-Autumn Festival.

This year, the group decided to build a Mid-Autumn Festival lantern model “Echoes of Dien Bien”, with the hope that children and grandchildren will always remember the merits of the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their blood and bones, fighting for independence and freedom for the nation, so that children and grandchildren can have a prosperous life like today and enjoy a happy and warm Mid-Autumn Festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival lantern model of the residential group consists of 3 parts: part 1 simulates a truck carrying weapons and ammunition to serve the Dien Bien Phu battlefield; part 2 simulates the image of 3 soldiers waving the victory flag on the roof of General De Castries' bunker; part 3 simulates the historical site of Muong Thanh bridge. The model was completed in a month, with a cost of more than 30 million VND contributed by the people.

Although it is not yet the full moon of the Mid-Autumn Festival, these days, in the evening on the streets of Tuyen Quang city, thousands of people and tourists participate in the lantern procession to "warm up" for Thanh Tuyen festival. The giant Mid-Autumn lantern models made by Tuyen Quang people have created a bustling atmosphere, surprise, excitement for tourists from all over the world and joy in the eyes and smiles of children.
