Unique mobile library model at schools in mountainous areas
(Baonghean.vn) - A mini book library with many compartments with all kinds of fairy tales, comics... that can be moved around the school yard to create an outdoor reading environment is a model being built at some schools in the mountainous district of Quy Chau.

Although it has only been in operation for a week, the mobile library is very popular with students at Chau Hanh 1 Primary School. Hoang Thi Yen Nhi, a student at the school, said: "Reading books for the first 15 minutes of class under the trees with friends is very different from reading books in the library, because we feel very comfortable."

At Chau Binh 2 Primary School, in addition to organizing reading sessions for the first 15 minutes of class, the school also arranges for students in grades 4 and 5 to tell stories to students in grades 1, 2, and 3. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thai - Principal of Chau Binh 2 Primary School said: For students in grades 3 and below, reading books is just a habit, so arranging for students in older grades to accompany, read, and tell stories in books will help them understand more deeply the meaning of each story.

It is known that to build the mobile library as it is today, along with the contribution of the collective teachers, the schools also received contributions from agencies, units and businesses. Accordingly, the supplemented books focus on short books, comics with vivid illustrations to help children read and understand easily.
The initial effectiveness of the mobile library model that some schools have built will be the basis for the Quy Chau Education Department to expand to 37 schools in the area, considering this a way to bring reading culture closer to students, especially students in mountainous areas with many difficulties like in Quy Chau.
