(Baonghean.vn)- Using old car tires, wooden boards, bamboo sticks… with their intelligence and creativity, the youth union members of Tho Son commune (Anh Son) have invented unique toys for poor children in remote villages.
Tho Son is a disadvantaged commune of Anh Son district, where hundreds of poor students do not have access to playgrounds and entertainment areas. Originating from the idea of creating a miniature playground for poor students, the Tho Son commune youth union collected scrap materials such as tires, wooden panels, bamboo sticks, reeds, meters, etc. to make useful toys for the children. |
To complete the construction of the playground, more than a dozen youth union members were mobilized and actively participated in the work for a period of one week. |
Making toys for children requires carefulness and meticulousness so that the finished product is safe for students. |

Under the skillful hands of the youth union members, seemingly discarded materials become all kinds of games such as horses, seesaws, chairs... ensuring safety, closeness to nature, and stimulating the development of children's motor skills and creative thinking. |

Poor children are excited about new toys. |
Currently, the Tho Son Commune Youth Union has handed over 12 sets of toys such as horses, seesaws, swings, seesaws, etc. to 30 children in Khe Trang Thuong village. In the coming time, the commune union will continue to build playgrounds at other locations. |
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Ha, Secretary of Anh Son District Youth Union, said: To implement the plan to build a playground for children, Anh Son District has directed the Youth Union and schools to survey and build locations. Depending on the actual situation, the units proactively select and design playground equipment from used items and natural products such as bamboo, rattan, etc. Currently, Anh Son District has successfully deployed in Tho Son and Binh Son communes. After installing the playground, the Youth Union members are responsible for coordinating with the village and hamlet management board to preserve and create conditions for organizing activities to attract children to participate in useful entertainment. |
