Unique stork garden in Tan Ky district town

(Baonghean.vn) - Located next to a residential area in Thuan Yen hamlet, Nghia Hoan commune (Tan Ky, Nghe An) there is a unique garden, home to thousands of storks.

For a long time, right next to the crowded residential area of ​​Nghia Hoan commune, with high-rise buildings with urban appearance, close to the brick and tile production village of Cua, there is a unique garden. The person who "keeps" the flock of storks here is Mr. Nguyen Danh Hien. With his love for nature, he has transformed a wild swamp of about 3 hectares into a garden full of vitality.

At dusk, flocks of storks fly back here, finding peace after a long day of searching for food far away. This place has a natural garden, a lake, a protective fence, and especially Mr. Hien's way of treating people has made poachers feel respectful, not daring to hunt or disturb the flock of storks.

Mr. Nguyen Danh Hien shared: "Thanks to the good protection of the area, the flock of storks coming here is increasing, not only storks but also many other species of birds now come here to live. My family has planted many trees, raised fish... for tourists to visit the stork garden."

In 2005, this was a wild swamp area, Mr. Hien contracted the land from the commune to renovate it for fish farming. In the early days of renovation, he saw flocks of storks flying back to roost in the area every afternoon. Not wanting to destroy the storks' habitat, Mr. Hien planned and kept the flooded forest intact to create an ecological environment.wild nature

Currently, his family has planted more trees and fruit trees around the lake, gradually building this place into an ecological garden, an attractive destination for tourists from near and far.
