Duc Son Pagoda |
Duc Son Pagoda, also known as Nam Pagoda, was built more than 5 centuries ago. It is one of the oldest pagodas in Nghe An, still preserving 210 ancient woodblocks, an ancient bell weighing 182 kg, a system of ancient wooden statues with nearly 40 statues of great historical and artistic value... Duc Son Pagoda was recognized as a National Historical - Architectural - Artistic Relic in 2001.

Temple of the Holy Mother |
Duc Son Temple, also known as the Holy Mother Temple, is said to have been built at the same time as Duc Son Pagoda. It still exists with its ancient three-door gate, lower, middle and upper halls, along with 110 ancient woodblocks, ancient books and many royal decrees of the Nguyen Dynasty. The temple was recognized as a National Historical - Cultural Relic in 2016.

Duc Ong Temple was built long ago, worshiping a famous general of King Mai Hac De. The temple consists of the lower palace, upper palace, five palaces, three-door gate, lotus pond, and ancient sacrificial objects such as dragon palanquin, mirror stand, royal decree, etc. The temple was recognized as a National Historical - Cultural Relic in 1997. |

Duc Nam Communal House is closely associated with the village community activities and local historical events. After hundreds of years of existence, it still remains intact in the old campus with 5 ironwood rooms and two ancient mossy pillars. The Communal House was recognized as a provincial historical and cultural relic in 2016. In addition, the hamlet also has a Pagoda well, built of laterite, which was built and existed alongside Duc Son Pagoda.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhon, head of Bac Son hamlet, said: “Generations of Bac Son people are always proud of the rich tradition of the village. The ancient beauty of our ancestors has been and is being preserved and embellished by the villagers, continuing to become a driving force for our homeland in the process of building a new countryside.”
Nam Dan district has 167 relics, of which over 45 relics have been ranked, while the small hamlet of Bac Son with 135 households has 4 relics (3 national relics, 1 provincial relic), which is rare in Nghe An. |
