Pu Long slope (Quy Hop) has serious landslides
Due to the impact of recent floods, the Pu Long slope area on Provincial Road 532 through Lien Hop Commune, Quy Hop has suffered serious landslides. Authorities are banning trucks from traveling.
According to the reporter, on October 8, the Pu Long slope area in Long village, Lien Hop commune, Quy Hop district had a landslide of about 20 meters, below was a deep abyss. The landslide ate into the roadbed, causing the rock cage to collapse, posing many potential safety risks for vehicles such as motorbikes and cars that pass through here every day.

Mr. Luong Van Nam, a resident of Lien Hop commune, said: The Pu Long slope area is often subject to landslides during the rainy season. The authorities need to have a thorough solution to help people feel secure when traveling through this area.

Mr. Luong Khanh Tung, Vice Chairman of Lien Hop Commune People's Committee, said: Pu Long slope is currently experiencing serious landslides. The road is 5 meters wide, but there are landslides that have penetrated more than 2 meters deep, so the road surface can collapse at any time, making it very dangerous for vehicles passing through.

Currently, the Pu Long slope area has been put up with danger warning signs and trucks are prohibited. The commune has warned people to absolutely not drive trucks through the slope and to limit their travel to this area because in addition to the negative slope landslides, this area also has some positive slope landslides on the mountainside.



According to Mr. Luong Khanh Tung, the Pu Long slope area is located on the main route of Provincial Road 532 with a length of nearly 40 km passing through the communes of Lien Hop, Chau Tien, Chau Loc, Chau Hong, Chau Thanh. Local people hope that the relevant agencies will soon fix the problem so that people can travel safely.
