Two friends caught trafficking 1,800 synthetic drug pills

On the afternoon of December 12, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghi Loc District Police announced that the unit had just presided over and coordinated with the 1-7 Traffic Control Patrol Team, the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police to successfully crack Project 1218M, arresting Nguyen The Bao (born in 1984), residing in Son Thanh Commune, and Nguyen Duy C (born in 1983), residing in Yen Thanh District, along with 1,800 synthetic drug pills, 01 motorbike and some related evidence.

Project 1218M was established by the Nghi Loc District Police after the agency discovered that at some karaoke parlors and motels in Nghi Lam, Nghi Van, Nghi Kieu communes of Nghi Loc district, there were complicated drug buying and selling and use activities. The illegal drug buying and selling and use here attracted many subjects to participate, causing insecurity and disorder in the area.

Through the investigation, the Task Force identified a drug trafficking ring from Yen Thanh District to Nghi Loc District, so they organized surveillance and ambush. On December 5, the investigation agency determined that the subject in this ring would transport drugs into the district, so they decided to crack the case. Many working groups were arranged to ambush on National Highway 48E, the border area of ​​Yen Thanh and Nghi Loc districts.

At 3:00 p.m. the same day, at hamlet 18, Nghi Van commune, the working group discovered a young man driving a motorbike with license plate 37P1-479.83 from Yen Thanh district to Nghi Loc district, showing suspicious signs, so they asked him to stop the vehicle for inspection. However, the subject continued to speed forward and when he reached hamlet 3, Nghi Van commune, he was controlled by the authorities. Checking the subject's vehicle, the working group discovered 01 black plastic bag, inside were 07 small bags containing a total of 1,700 synthetic drug pills.

The subject stated that his name was Nguyen The Bao, from Son Thanh commune, who received the drugs from his friend Nguyen Duy C, who was from the same district. Immediately after that, subject C was arrested. Searching C's residence, the investigation agency seized another 100 synthetic drug pills. Nguyen Duy C stated that he worked as a taxi driver and was addicted to drugs. Once in Tuong Duong district, C bought 1,800 synthetic drug pills from a stranger and then brought them back to Bao to sell for profit to satisfy his addiction.

Currently, the authorities are continuing to expand the investigation into case 1218M.
