Tom Cleverley has been appointed permanent manager, just a month after taking up the interim role at Watford.

Sharing on the day of The Cong Viettel's debut, coach Vallim said: "In the immediate future, I need time to work with the coaching staff to organize a training plan for the competition. Next month, we have 7 matches so there is not much time left for high-intensity training. Now is the time for us to control the training volume and implement recovery plans for the players through each match. I have a very good first impression with the head coach and the coaching staff. We will help the players get in the best physical condition during this urgent period."

With the presence of the Brazilian expert, coach Duc Thang hopes the team will solve the physical problem to meet the dense competition schedule ahead.

“Since the beginning of the season, we have been looking for a fitness coach for the team and fortunately, up to now, we have found the right person to support the players. With 7 matches in May, equivalent to 4-5 days/match, the presence of coach Juliano Vallim is especially important. Fitness and injury prevention are the top factors of this period,” said coach Duc Thang.

On May 1, The Cong Viettel will face PVF-CAND in the quarter-finals of the 2023-2024 National Cup.
