Vietnam vs Malaysia lineup: Cong Phuong starts
In the final training session, Coach Park Hang Seo seemed to intend to put Cong Phuong on the field from the beginning in the starting lineup of the Vietnamese team for the first leg of the AFF Cup 2018 final against Malaysia tonight (December 11).
Cong Phuong will start, but that does not mean Quang Hai and Van Duc will have to give up their positions and sit on the bench. On the contrary, according to coach Park Hang-seo's calculations, Quang Hai will be pulled back to play as a defensive midfielder like in the first matches of the 2018 AFF Cup.

Hung Dung's return is natural as the Vietnamese team needs a sweeper in the midfield area, as well as ensuring the defense can stand firm against attacks from the Malaysian team in this area.
Another change that was predicted for the first leg of the AFF Cup 2018 final is that Hong Duy will start in place of his senior Trong Hoang who is suffering from a slight injury. And so, Hong Duy and Van Hau will be the two wingers for the Vietnamese team.
