From today (July 1), the new commune-level administrative units officially come into operation under the 2-level government model nationwide. After merging the entire natural area and population of Hoa Thanh town and Dong Thanh, Tang Thanh, and Van Thanh communes, Yen Thanh commune was newly established with a population of nearly 48,000 people and an area of over 38 km². This is a large-scale administrative unit in terms of both population and area, requiring innovative thinking, scientific methods, and high political determination to effectively operate the two-level government model.

Thuan Trung Commune was established on the basis of merging the entire area and population of 6 old communes of Do Luong district: Minh Son, Xuan Son, Nhan Son, Lac Son, Trung Son and Thuan Son. This is not only a change in the organizational structure and administrative boundaries, but more deeply, it is the beginning of a new, modern, more effective governance model, meeting the requirements of sustainable development in the period when the whole country enters a new era.
