While two groups of young men were fighting, a couple coming out of a wedding party were beaten, leaving one dead and the other seriously injured.
News from the Dak Lak Provincial Police Department's Investigation Police Agency on July 22 said that they are temporarily detaining Y Kiem Mlo (born 1990) and Y Nung Nie (born 2000, both residing in Krong Jing commune, M'Drak district, Dak Lak province) to investigate the act of murder.

Initial investigation results show that at around 10:30 pm on July 20, Y Kiem Mlo went to a wedding in the commune. Here, Y Kiem Mlo was beaten by some people so he ran to meet Y Nung Nie to tell the story and Y Nung Nie agreed to help fight back.
When leaving, Y Nung Nie carried a machete, and Y Kiem Mlo carried a wooden stick. When the two groups met, the group of young men threw beer bottles at Y Kiem Mlo and Y Nung Nie, so both of them held knives and sticks, rushed forward to slash and hit, then the other group of young men ran away.
At this time, Mr. Y Thi Nie (born in 1998, residing in M'Drak district) was driving his girlfriend, Ms. H'Moel Byă, from the wedding party when Y Kiem Mlo stopped the car and used a stick to hit Ms. H'Moel Byă once on the head. Seeing that, Mr. Y Thi Nie drove away. At this time, Y Kiem Mlo shouted "stop and hit him" then Y Nung Nie took a knife and slashed Mr. Y Thi Nie once on the head, causing Mr. Y Thi Nie to die on the spot and Ms. H'Moel Byă to be seriously injured.
