The search and recovery team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command helps Lao people harvest rice.
On November 15-16, officers and staff of the Search and Recovery Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command went to the fields to help harvest rice for policy beneficiary families, disadvantaged families, and single-parent families in Xieng Khouang and Xaysomboun provinces (Laos).
At this time, rice fields and terraced rice paddies in the districts of Muong Pec, Pha Xay, Muong Kham, Phom Sa Van town, Muong Khun, Phu Cut in Xieng Khouang province; and Loong Cheng in Xaysomboun province are beginning to ripen. The rice-growing areas of most households are located in rugged terrain and steep hills, making harvesting difficult, especially the use of machinery and tools to assist with the harvest…

In addition, the current weather in Xieng Khouang and Xaysomboun provinces is very harsh, with sunny days followed by thunderstorms in the evening, which can easily damage farmers' rice crops.
To help people harvest their rice early and avoid losses,The Search and Recovery Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military CommandThe unit mobilized officers and soldiers to support and assist disadvantaged and single-parent families in urgently harvesting ripe rice and transporting it home.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Xuan The, Political Commissar of the Search and Collection Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command, said that in addition to successfully carrying out its mission of searching for and collecting the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos in the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Xaysomboun, and Vientiane, during holidays and breaks, the team will continue to send forces to local areas to help people harvest rice, thereby helping people minimize losses and further strengthening the bond between the military and the people.
