Russian Navy fleet visits Da Nang
On the afternoon of January 6, a fleet of ships of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Federation Navy (including 3 ships: destroyer “Bystry”, large tanker “Boris Butoma” and rescue tug “Altau”), commanded by Rear Admiral Yuldashev Aleksandr Yurevich, docked at Tien Sa port (Da Nang), starting a friendly visit to Da Nang city from January 6 to 9.
Welcoming the ship at Tien Sa port were representatives of the leadership of the Naval Region 3 Command, the Department of Foreign Affairs (Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam), the Office of the Military Region 5 Command, the Da Nang City Border Guard Command, the Da Nang City Military Command, the Da Nang City Department of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam, the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Da Nang City...
During the visit, the commander of the Russian Navy fleet will pay courtesy visits to the leaders of the Da Nang People's Committee, the Command of Military Region 5, the Command of Naval Region 3, lay wreaths at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs of Da Nang City; the crew will participate in sports exchanges with soldiers of Naval Region 3 and visit some local scenic spots.
The visit of the Russian Navy fleet aims to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, including naval cooperation between the two countries.
