The kindergarten and primary schools meet standards, while the secondary school is on track to meet standards by 2016. |

| Through the New Rural Development program, along with actively attracting external resources, the people of Nam Trung have unanimously agreed to build and complete a system of 23.5 km of concrete rural roads, replacing the muddy dirt roads of the past and creating convenient travel conditions for the people. |

| Livestock farming is developing in the direction of concentrated farms. Currently, in the commune, there are 14 households that have leased land to establish farms raising buffaloes, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, combined with fish farming and rice production, bringing high economic efficiency. |

| The economy, including trades and services, is also encouraged to develop in Nam Trung. The entire commune has 600 laborers participating in construction groups within and outside the district; over 100 laborers involved in buying and selling vegetables at the Vinh market; and 13 households operating carpentry workshops.
