In April 2024, U23 Malaysia will participate in the 2024 AFC U23 Championship, where they are in Group D with U23 Vietnam, U23 Uzbekistan and U23 Kuwait.

To prepare for this important tournament, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has planned to play up to 6 friendly matches for the U23 team.

These 6 friendly matches will take place between late March and early April 2024.

As for U23 Vietnam, falling into a not-so-difficult group will be an opportunity for coach Troussier and his team to win a ticket to continue.
