SLNA captain and teammates both suffered ligament injuries
(Baonghean.vn) - Bad luck continues to haunt SLNA players when captain Hoang Van Khanh and midfielder Cao Xuan Thang both suffered ligament problems right before the match against SHB Da Nang in round 3 of V.League 2020.
Before the match against Ba Ria - Vung Tau in the National Cup, center back Hoang Van Khanh suffered a knee injury after a collision with a teammate during a practice match. The SLNA captain left the field with a limp left leg and will be absent from the Round of 16 of the National Cup.
Not only that, after a collision with a Ba Ria - Vung Tau player, midfielder Cao Xuan Thang also suffered a knee injury and had to receive first aid after the match. Both players just went to Hanoi to have their injuries checked on the afternoon of June 1.

According to the doctor's diagnosis, the SLNA captain suffered a sprained posterior ligament. With this type of injury, he will have to rest for at least 1 month. Similarly, midfielder Cao Xuan Thang also suffered a sprained posterior ligament in his right leg.
Thus, SLNA's injury list still has 3 players: Hoang Van Khanh, Cao Xuan Thang and Pham Xuan Manh. All of them will need at least 1 more month to be able to compete again and will be absent from important matches such as against SHB Da Nang, Thanh Hoa, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and possibly the away match against Nam Dinh on June 30.
Captain Van Khanh's injury is a huge loss for SLNA's defense at a time when V.League 2020 has just returned. It is likely that SLNA's coaching staff will have to arrange for center-back Pham The Nhat to pair with Gustavo Santos in the match against SHB Da Nang on June 6.

After 2 matches at the National Cup, SLNA became a miniature 'hospital'
