After a day of making a roundabout statement, on January 21, the subject was arrested by the Madaguoi Station Traffic Police, under the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province Police, for theft of property. After being handed over to the Di Linh District Police, he had to make a new statement.
Checking the identity of this subject, the police force unexpectedly discovered that the subject previously declared Nguyen Phi Long (32 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) was a fake name, while his real name was Ngo Viet Sinh (30 years old, residing in Tan Hiep village, Tan Hoi commune, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong) - the subject wanted by the Investigation Police Department of Duc Trong district in May 2011 for two acts of rape and robbery.

Previously, as reported, on the afternoon of January 17, the Madaguoi Traffic Police team on duty on National Highway 20 (the first section of Bao Loc Pass) received a report that a thief was on a passenger bus with license plate 49B-00741, traveling from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City. When the Traffic Police caught up, the bus was stopping to refuel at km96 of National Highway 20. Upon discovering the Traffic Police, the thief immediately left the bus and fled.
After 40 minutes of chasing, the traffic police force at Madaguoi station caught the subject. When brought to Madaguoi traffic police station, the subject confessed that Nguyen Phi Long, residing in Ho Chi Minh City, stole the OPPO F5 phone at a coffee shop in Di Linh district...
