Murderer and robber Trieu Quan Su escaped from prison for the third time

In 2012, Su murdered a coffee shop owner in Long Bien district (Hanoi) to rob him of his property. In 2013, the Military Court of Military Region 1 sentenced Su to life in prison for the crimes of "Murder", "Robbery" and "Destruction".
In late 2015, while serving his sentence in Quang Ngai, Su escaped from prison. After being arrested, in 2016, Su was sentenced to an additional 3 years in prison for "Escape from Prison" and 3 years in prison for "Theft of Property". The total prison sentence is life imprisonment.
On the afternoon of June 3, 2020, while serving his prison sentence at the Central Military Detention Center, Military Region 5 (located in Quang Ngai province), Trieu Quan Su climbed over the guard tower, clung to a water pipe and escaped to the ground. He was arrested after 15 days on the run, while at an arcade in Tam Ky City, Quang Ngai province.
