At around 1 p.m. on September 20, a patrol team of Con Cuong District Police discovered a suspicious subject driving a white Wave motorbike with license plate 37C1-094.64 from Con Cuong town towards Anh Son district. The task force immediately signaled the subject to stop for an administrative check, but the subject did not stop but sped away.

The task force chased them to Eo Vuc Bong area in Lam Bong village, Bong Khe commune. Tuan recklessly let go of both hands on the steering wheel, pulled out his gun, loaded it and turned around to shoot at the force only 5 meters away. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The force continued to chase to village 2/9, Bong Khe commune, Con Cuong district, where the subject threw the blue plastic bag onto the roadside and continued to speed. About 10 minutes later, the subject threw away the pistol and ran to the bend where he was arrested by the traffic patrol team.

Upon inspection, the subject confessed that his name was Nguyen Ho Tuan (born in 1983), residing in Bai Oi village, Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district, working as a freelancer. Tuan was on his way to Nghia Dan district to catch a bus to Binh Duong province.

The Criminal Police of Con Cuong District said that after receiving secret information that Nguyen Ho Tuan regularly transported and traded drugs from Tuong Duong District to Ho Chi Minh City for consumption, carrying firearms, the agency established Project 917M.

After two days of surveillance, it was discovered that the subject had secretly taken a bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Cuong on the night of September 19. On the morning of September 20, the subject went to Tuong Duong district to buy drugs, then took many buses and rode a motorbike to distract the attention. When he arrived at Con Cuong town, Tuan was discovered and arrested by the police.

At the police headquarters, the evidence seized from Tuan included 1 long sword, 1 black RG88 pistol and 3 bullets, 3,000 USD, 1.4 million VND, 3 ATM cards, 3 mobile phones, 1 iPad and 3 types of drugs with a total weight of 101 grams, including 51 pink pills, 3 grams of crystal meth, 78.75 grams of heroin.

The subject is currently being detained for further investigation./.
