The fine for the person who filmed a clip of "Dragon God" curing diseases in Ben Tre province and posted it on social media to promote superstition is 25 million VND.

On October 27, the Mo Cay Nam District Police (Ben Tre Province) announced that they had handed over the administrative penalty decision of the Chairman of the District People's Committee to Tran Thanh Lam (31 years old, residing in Hoi An Hamlet, Da Phuoc Hoi Commune, Mo Cay Nam District) for providing, exchanging, transmitting, storing, and using information and services with superstitious content. Accordingly, the fine for Lam is 25 million VND.

Previously, in early July 2017, related to the illegal medical examination and treatment activities of Nguyen Thi Hoang (self-proclaimed as Than Rong, 53 years old, living in Vinh Khanh hamlet, An Thanh commune, Mo Cay Nam).

Tran Thanh Lam used his mobile phone to record over 100 clips of Ms. Hoang's medical examination and treatment activities, then uploaded them all to his personal Youtube page for the online community to watch and share.

After that, Lam continued to use his phone to record 3 more clips and videos of people going to the District Police Station, causing a disturbance to public order and security, asking for Ms. Hoang to continue her treatment, and posted these clips on Youtube with titles that were completely untrue.

In just one day, the clips Lam posted online had thousands of views and comments with many negative contents that affected the reputation of the police force and caused public outrage.
