Vietnam Futsal Team Beats China at 2024 Asian Futsal Championship
(Baonghean.vn) - Nhan Gia Hung's goal helped the Vietnamese futsal team win 1-0 against the Chinese futsal team.
On the afternoon of April 19, the Vietnamese futsal team entered the second match of the 2024 Asian Futsal Finals, against the Chinese futsal team.
With the pressure of having to win to have a chance to move on to the next round, the Vietnamese team proactively put pressure on the opponent from the beginning.
The Vietnamese futsal team kept the same lineup as the match against Myanmar. Goalkeeper Van Y and 4 players Doan Phat, Anh Duy, Minh Quang and Thinh Phat played from the start. With a higher level of assessment, the Vietnamese futsal team proactively pushed up the attacking formation right after the opening whistle, forcing China back to their home field. In the first few minutes, the Vietnamese futsal team created a number of opportunities but Thinh Phat and Anh Duy could not defeat goalkeeper Song Zechao.

In the following minutes, the Vietnamese futsal team continued to press, forcing China to defend. The red team could hardly attack or create any dangerous situations towards the goal of the Vietnamese futsal team. Being continuously pressed on the field forced China to commit fouls to stop the Vietnamese players. This made them pay the price when they made 6 total fouls. In the 11th minute, the Vietnamese futsal team was awarded a 10m penalty. This could be considered the turning point of the match. At the 10m mark, Nhan Gia Hung skillfully kicked the ball to score the opening goal for the Vietnamese futsal team.

Falling behind, the Chinese futsal team applied power-play tactics. This made Vietnamese futsal, especially goalkeeper Ho Van Y, quite difficult. Fortunately, the opponent did not have a chance to convert into a goal.
Entering the second half, the Vietnamese futsal team was under pressure but the strikers of the Chinese futsal team could not get past Ho Van Y. In this half, the Vietnamese futsal team created a chance in the 24th minute but unfortunately Pham Duc Hoa's shot hit the crossbar of Song Zechao's goal.

Just like the first half, China played power play in the last minutes of the second half. This caused many difficulties for Van Y's goal. Even if it weren't for the crossbar, the Vietnamese futsal team would have let their opponents equalize 1-1 in the last minute.
The 1-0 score remained unchanged, the Vietnamese futsal team got 4 points after two matches, temporarily having an advantage in the race for a ticket to the next round. In the final match, the Vietnamese futsal team will face the Thai futsal team./.
