Vietnam women's team lost the second match at the 2023 Women's World Cup
(Baonghean.vn) - The Vietnamese women's team continued to suffer a 0-2 defeat against the Portuguese women's team at the 2023 Women's World Cup. With this defeat, coach Mai Duc Chung's students officially lost their chance to enter the next round.
Vietnam women's teamand the Portuguese Women's Team both came away empty-handed in their opening match of the 2023 Women's World Cup. While coach Mai Duc Chung's team suffered a 0-3 defeat to the defending champions the United States, Portugal also lost 0-1 to the Netherlands. If they want to keep their hopes of advancing, both teams must win 3 points in this direct confrontation.

The final minutes of the first half witnessed the strong rise of the Vietnam Women's Team. The Vietnamese golden girls organized attacks with quite high speed, causing the Portuguese defense to face many difficulties.
In the 43rd minute, Huynh Nhu passed the ball to the sideline for Bich Thuy to run down, but Bich Thuy's shot could not beat goalkeeper Patricia Morais. It was the first shot on target by Mai Duc Chung's students at the World Cup.
