As soon as they landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the Vietnamese team was given favorable conditions during the immigration procedures and baggage claim process.

What was even more special and touching was the large presence of Vietnamese fans in Malaysia. They wore the national flag, red shirts with yellow stars, many wore traditional ao dai, and carried banners with the meaningful message: "Vietnamese community in Malaysia, accompanying the Vietnam national football team. Vietnam is determined to win".

Sharing her feelings when she went to the airport to welcome the team, Ms. Tran Thuy Trang - President of the Malaysia - Vietnam Friendship Association, currently working at the National Heart Hospital of Malaysia, said this was an emotional moment.

She said she has lived in Malaysia for more than 30 years and has welcomed Vietnamese sports delegations to compete many times, but each time the feeling is as special as the first time. For her, this is not simply a football match, but an opportunity for the overseas Vietnamese community to live in an atmosphere of solidarity and national pride.

The Vietnamese team will have their first training session in Malaysia in the afternoon of the same day, starting the process of getting used to the field conditions, weather and planning tactics. After winning the first match, both Vietnam and Malaysia have 3 points. However, the Vietnamese team is temporarily leading Group F thanks to a better goal difference. However, the team is facing some difficulties in terms of personnel due to the absence of a few key players due to injury.
