Changing vehicles after an accident, discovered transporting more than 1.6 quintals of long-tailed porcupines and civets

Accordingly, at about 2:30 a.m. on July 7, while handling a traffic accident involving passenger bus with license plate 29B - 516.84, a passenger bus with license plate 29B - 605.15 (also owned by Hung Long, running on the Hanoi - Quang Binh route) arrived to transfer passengers and some cargo from the accident vehicle.

Identifying suspicious signs, the working group of the Traffic, Order and Mobile Police Team of Vinh City Police coordinated with the patrol team of the Mobile Police Department to conduct an inspection when the vehicle arrived at Ha Huy Tap Ward, Vinh City and discovered that the vehicle was carrying 23 boxes of goods, including 90 long-tailed porcupines and civets.

During the process of working with the police, Mr. Bui Quang Ro (passenger moving from vehicle with license plate 29B - 516.84 to vehicle with license plate 29B - 605.15) confessed to being the owner of the above goods. Vinh City Police have drawn up a record to handle Mr. Bui Quang Ro's administrative violation of the act of "Owner of forest products transporting wild animals of legal origin but not fully complying with the provisions of the law on legal forest product records".

Regarding the two passenger vans with license plate 29B - 605.15 and license plate 29B - 516.84, the authorities made a record to handle the violation of the act of "Transporting dangerous goods, toxic goods, flammable goods, explosive goods or animals, other goods that affect the health of passengers on the passenger vehicle".

It is worth mentioning that, previously, during the working process with the Traffic Police Team, Order, Mobile Police and the Economic and Position Investigation Police Team, Vinh City Police, the manager of the passenger bus, Le Thanh Chung (born in 1972, residing in Loc Ninh commune, Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province) and the drivers of the two above-mentioned passenger buses continuously showed uncooperative attitudes and repeatedly affirmed that the company director had instructed not to sign the minutes.

It is known that Hung Long bus company has been repeatedly reported by people and press agencies for activities such as picking up and dropping off passengers along the road; displaying goods, stopping and parking vehicles encroaching on the roadside and sidewalk in Hanoi. In 2018, the Department of Transport of Quang Binh province also issued a decision to revoke the business license for automobile transportation of this bus company's branch in Quang Binh./.
