The Italian fashion house impressed fashionistas with a unique performance using remote-controlled airplanes on the fall-winter 2018 stage.

This year, Milan Fashion Week was abuzz with designers bringing a different color to the catwalk. While Gucci created artificial heads of models, Dolce & Gabbana lit up the stage with an impressive "parade".

The Italian brand delighted many audiences with the simultaneous appearance of remote-controlled planes, instead of models.

Each plane carries a unique handbag from the fall-winter 2018 collection. The Italian fashion house combines striking colors and embellished details on a sophisticated leather background.

After the opening performance, the models appeared in designs strongly inspired by the religion of Vatican City. The first model wore a black and white outfit, like a church nun, with the words "Fashion Sinner".

The fashion house calls this collection "Fashion Devotion". All designs are made from velvet, lace, brocade with unique slogans meticulously printed on the clothes, to show the luxury of European nobility.

The collection reflects the designer's faith in God, through the art of gilding on costumes, along with lavish jewelry, from images of saints in the church at the Vatican.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have an absolute respect for God. Before the fashion show, the two creative directors often go to church to pray. "I have a strong belief in God and virginity," Stefano Gabbana shared. That is why religion strongly influenced the Italian fashion house's fall-winter 2018 collection.

Interspersed with religiously inspired designs, the fashion house also presented youthful outfits. The track pants combined with a floral embroidered long coat and colorful woolen hats were praised by fashionistas for their novelty in this year's show.

The show was recreated with a miniature church model at the Vatican. Models appeared as priests, nuns or saints. The models wore sparkling dresses with meticulously beaded skirts, imbued with the beauty of Catholicism in Vatican City.

The collection’s colors range from striking red and pink tones to neutral white, black, and gray. In addition, the yellow color on costumes and accessories remains the main highlight throughout this year’s show.

Dolce & Gabbana’s signature tight dresses and lace details on the neckline appeared in this year’s show. However, the designs were given a new twist, thanks to the combination of accessories and angel buttons attached to high-quality silk fabric.

The fusion of religion and fashion is expressed through sparkling cross accessories, or meticulously embroidered lines on the costumes. The designs are combined with many noble tones, such as bronze gold, bright red and patterns inspired by the Italian upper class.

The show ended with models strutting around in long coats like Vatican nuns. The creative directors wanted to pay homage to God through the language of fashion.
