Thanh Thuy Border Guard Post: Presenting gifts to families receiving government assistance and those in difficult circumstances.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 25th anniversary of the National Defense Day, on the morning of December 18th, Thanh Thuy Border Gate Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard Command, visited and presented gifts to families entitled to preferential policies in the area.

The unit's leaders visited and presented two gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to two families receiving preferential treatment: Nguyen Phung Toan's family in Hamlet 6, Thanh Thuy Commune, and the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Chinh, 93 years old, in Hamlet 7, Thanh Thuy Commune, Thanh Chuong District.

The Thanh Thuy Police Station also visited and presented gifts to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh, residing in Hamlet 3, Thanh Thuy Commune, Thanh Chuong District, with a sum of 2 million VND. Ms. Binh's family is in a very difficult situation; her husband and child died in an accident. Currently, Ms. Binh is raising three young children alone, one of whom is undergoing long-term treatment at the hospital.

The funds for visiting families entitled to preferential treatment and families in difficult circumstances are drawn from voluntary contributions by officers and soldiers in the unit.
