(Baonghean)- In 2015, Nghe An Newspaper achieved many successes: continued to innovate, successfully built the "Converged Newsroom" model, improved the overall quality of both print and electronic newspapers, firmly placed Nghe An Newspaper at the top of the local party newspaper system; was awarded the title of Labor Hero in the renovation period by the President. This success, in addition to the efforts of the staff, reporters and employees, also had the great contribution of a large number of loyal collaborators - those who have effectively supported the party newspaper in recent years.

In 2015, in the context of general difficulties of the national press system as well as the increasingly fierce competition for information between newspapers and social networks, with the efforts of the entire editorial office, Nghe An Newspaper has made a spectacular breakthrough, reaping many remarkable achievements. The quality as well as the form of the newspaper's publications are increasingly improved. The number of columns, news and articles is increasingly diverse and rich, vividly reflecting life as well as creating a forum, analyzing and promptly orienting public opinion on major current events in the province, domestically and internationally.

The editorial office has closely followed the key tasks and major events of the province to promote strongly, such as: Party Congresses at all levels and the 18th Provincial Party Congress towards the 12th National Party Congress; commemorating the 125th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh; the ceremony to receive the certificate from UNESCO recognizing Nghe An folk songs as representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity; the 2015 Spring Investment Promotion Conference; the 2015 Cua Lo River Festival; the 40th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification; propaganda about the Patriotic Emulation Congress; groundbreaking of the VSIP Industrial Park, Urban and Service Complex Project...

During the year, the Newspaper published 343 daily issues; 49 weekend issues and 6 special issues: New Year issue; Spring issue; April 30 and May 1 commemorative issues; issue celebrating the 90th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day; issue welcoming the Provincial Patriotic Emulation Congress for the 2010-2015 period and issue welcoming the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2015-2020.

Many topics have been recognized and highly appreciated by readers, contributing to orienting public opinion and solving problems for the grassroots, such as a series of articles on the activities of the Center for Supporting the Poor in New Rural Development; Series of articles: Cutting down 3 red cypress trees in Que Phong; Series of articles: Around the incident of hundreds of parishioners destroying the fence and illegally encroaching on the grounds of Nghi Kieu Kindergarten (Nghi Loc); Series of articles: Around the land acquisition of Yen Thanh Industrial Park Phase 2, Land acquisition of the Mong Reservoir Project; Around the issue of students dropping out of school in Nghi Thiet (Nghi Loc); Series of articles: Paying attention to supporting students in disadvantaged areas; Strengthening the management of product promotion and introduction activities; multi-level marketing; strictly handling the logging and burning of forests in Quy Chau; Special topic on capital implementation of Decree 67: Practical difficulties; series of articles: "Land consolidation and plot exchange" - voices from the fields...

In particular, in 2015, Nghe An Newspaper successfully built and put into operation the model of "Converged Newsroom". This is a step to "take a shortcut, anticipate" the media trend of the digital age, aiming to bring Nghe An Newspaper into the modern press village, meeting the increasingly rich, diverse and quick information needs of the public.

Thanks to that, the quality of the newspaper's publications is increasingly rich and diverse; the content between print and electronic newspapers has had strong interactions, creating a high effect in propagating events. In the context of many major newspapers decreasing in circulation, the print newspaper Nghe An still increases. Up to now, both daily and weekend newspapers have been distributed stably, reaching more than 16,400 copies/issue; compared to the same period in 2014, an increase of 1,042 copies; compared to the end of 2014, an increase of 1,003 copies.

Nghe An electronic newspaper has an increasing number of visitors, averaging 25-30 thousand visits per day, becoming one of the strongest online newspapers in the country. And currently, the newspaper is upgrading the new version of Nghe An electronic newspaper with many utilities and a beautiful interface, in order to attract more readers.

Along with the construction of the “Converged Newsroom”, the Newspaper promotes training and self-training to improve the quality of its staff, reporters and collaborators. During the year, the Newspaper organized dozens of professional training courses at the newsroom for reporters; opened training courses in 20 districts, cities and towns for collaborators on multimedia journalism. Thanks to that, up to now, most reporters and many collaborators of Nghe An Newspaper have mastered the use of multimedia equipment in their work.

In the past year, the Newspaper had 11 works winning the Nghe An Provincial Press Award, including 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 4 Third Prizes and 4 Encouragement Prizes; 1 work winning the National Press Award; 7 works winning the Press Award on the topic of New Rural Areas and hunger eradication and poverty reduction (including 1 First Prize); 9 works winning the Press Award on the topic of traffic safety; 6 Press Awards on the topic of Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh (including 2 First Prizes, 1 Second Prize); and many other press awards of the industry and localities in the province... In particular, on September 9, 2015, Nghe An Newspaper was honored to be awarded the noble title by the Party and State: Hero of Labor in the renovation period.

It can be affirmed that, in order for Nghe An Newspaper to achieve results in the past year, in addition to the efforts of the collective staff, reporters and employees of Nghe An Newspaper, there is also a great contribution from a large number of collaborators. Currently, Nghe An Newspaper has a fairly strong team of collaborators with more than 600 people, an increase of more than 100 people compared to 2014. Of which, there are about 200 active and regular collaborators in the province, expanding to sectors and localities and nearly 60 collaborators outside the province working in many different fields.

Besides the traditional contributors who have established a "brand" in the hearts of readers, such as Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Cuong, journalists Duy Huong, Tran Hong Co, Duong Huy..., there are also new prominent contributors such as: Chu Kim Hoa (Economic Department of Nhan Dan Newspaper), Van Thieng (Voice of Vietnam); Chu Thanh (student of Diplomatic Academy), Nhat Minh (student of Hanoi National Economics University), Dao Tho (Ky Son)...

Since the comprehensive upgrade of Nghe An newspaper, the volume of news and articles in the newspaper's publications has increased nearly twice as much as before, but the use of news and articles is also more rigorous, more selective with higher requirements. Therefore, the editorial office also requires more from the team of collaborators, it is exciting that this "demand" has received enthusiastic and completely selfless response from the collaborators. The connection between the collaborators and the editorial office has been closer in the past year. Many collaborators regularly contact and discuss with the leaders of departments and editorial offices about the issues happening at the grassroots level to determine topics and writing methods.

Thanks to that, the collaborators do not miss out on information at the grassroots level, the amount of news and articles from collaborators to the editorial office is increasing day by day, faster, and more in line with the editorial office's propaganda plan. In 2015, the Newspaper received more than 20,800 news, articles, and photos from collaborators, 500 hotline information. Thanks to that, the quality of Nghe An Newspaper's publications has become increasingly rich and attractive, contributing to bringing the provincial Party newspaper to a steady position at the top of the local Party newspaper system nationwide.

Entering 2016, in the context of increasingly fierce competition for information between newspapers as well as social networks, Nghe An Newspaper is determined to implement many solutions to continuously improve the quality of the newspaper: Focus on leadership and direction to build a professional, convergent editorial office; Comprehensively innovate and upgrade Nghe An electronic newspaper and Nghe An daily newspaper; organize many special topics and quality works; continue to organize training for the team of collaborators at district stations, select core collaborators, consider them as "centipedes" to anchor the base, have close connections with the convergent editorial office of Nghe An Newspaper.

To complete the above goal is not a small pressure, Nghe An Newspaper hopes to continue to receive support and sharing from contributors, to help Nghe An Newspaper become more and more worthy of being the "conductor" in orienting public opinion in the province.
