Nord Stream 2 may bypass Denmark
The Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline can be laid bypassing Denmark without any problems, - said Vladimir Chizhov, the permanent representative of Russia to the EU.

"The pipeline will be built. At the moment there is still one country that has not granted permission… However, in principle, the pipeline can bypass this place," said Mr. Chizhov.
The permanent representative noted that this would result in “a small increase in project costs and perhaps a slight delay in the launch timeline.”
In addition, Mr. Chizhov believes that Copenhagen will approve the construction of this pipeline anyway.
And the project's opponents are always present, the Russian diplomat concluded.
