(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 25th in Vinh City, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - visited and presented gifts to encourage measles patients and medical staff at Nghe An Children's Hospital. Accompanying him were leaders from the Department of Health and the Provincial Party Committee Office.

Visiting children with severe measles being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of Nghe An Children's Hospital, Provincial Party Secretary Ho Duc Phoc inquired about each child's circumstances, encouraged parents to take meticulous care of their children, ensure full vaccination, strictly follow doctors' orders, and implement effective measures to prevent the spread of the disease. Mr. Ho Duc Phoc presented each severely ill patient with a gift of TH fresh milk and 500,000 VND.

Speaking with officials, staff, and doctors at Nghe An Pediatric Hospital, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc praised the sense of responsibility and service attitude of the medical team there in actively controlling the measles outbreak and focusing on providing good medical examination, treatment, and care for patients. He requested the Department of Health, especially the Center for Preventive Medicine, to take timely measures to prevent the measles outbreak, focusing on ensuring sufficient measles vaccination for children. He also urged proactive coordination with media agencies to educate all segments of the population about measles and how to prevent outbreaks. Furthermore, he called for technical guidance and training for medical facilities, commune health stations, and district health centers. He emphasized the importance of complete and rapid treatment for patients currently being treated at hospitals. The Department of Health should also mobilize and coordinate with businesses to support poor and disadvantaged patient families. This is a difficult issue; the Department of Health is requested to report quickly to the province so that all measures can be focused on preventing the measles outbreak. The province has already allocated 4.5 billion VND to purchase additional medical equipment and medicine to combat the measles outbreak.
