Comrade Dinh The Huynh: Must strongly innovate mass mobilization work

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 5, the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization held an online conference to summarize mass mobilization work in 2016 and deploy tasks for 2017.

In 2016, despite many difficulties, the mass mobilization work of the entire political system had positive changes and achieved important results. The Politburo, the Secretariat, the Government and Party committees and authorities at all levels have paid real attention to leading and directing mass mobilization work.

The Party and the State have issued many documents closely directing the work of mass mobilization in the new situation. After the Party Congress, the mass mobilization system at all levels has been consolidated and improved; the staff of mass mobilization staff has been increasingly improved; their professional qualifications and skills have gradually met the assigned needs. The awareness of the political system towards the position and role of mass mobilization work has been raised day by day.

During the year, authorities at all levels paid more attention to propaganda and mobilization of the people in the process of implementing socio-economic development tasks; effectively implemented social security policies, supported people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, stabilizing production and life; promoted administrative procedure reform and better implemented the grassroots democracy regulations. The Fatherland Front and people's organizations continued to effectively promote patriotic emulation movements, building and replicating many models, typically "Skilled Mass Mobilization".

In addition, the Mass Mobilization sector has deployed the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress on mass mobilization work; continued to improve the quality and efficiency of operations, and promoted the advisory role for the Central Committee and Party Committees at all levels to lead and direct the implementation of the Party's policies and resolutions on mass mobilization work. Mass mobilization work has contributed to promoting democracy, strengthening the great national unity bloc and social consensus to successfully implement the socio-economic, security and defense goals of the country and each locality in 2016.

The conference heard reports on the implementation results of Decision No. 217-QD/TW on promulgating the Regulations on supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; Decision No. 218-QD/TW on promulgating regulations on the participation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and people in giving opinions on party building and government building; and coordination between the Government Party Committee and the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization on mass mobilization work.

At the conference, delegates focused on exchanging, discussing, evaluating and analyzing the results achieved, shortcomings and weaknesses that need to be overcome, causes and lessons learned from mass mobilization work in 2016, and at the same time proposed specific and feasible solutions for mass mobilization work in 2017.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, comrade Dinh The Huynh suggested that all levels, sectors and localities need to focus on promptly and effectively resolving people's concerns, so that people can trust the leadership and direction of the Party and State.

It is necessary to strongly innovate mass mobilization work, focus on doing a good job of propaganda and mobilization, creating consensus, clearly understanding the legitimate aspirations of the people, thoroughly grasping the policies and mechanisms that must be in line with the people's wishes; implementing well the regular and unscheduled reception of people to promptly resolve the difficulties and problems of the people; paying attention to and caring for the material and spiritual life of the people.

Innovate the working methods in mass mobilization work to meet the requirements in the new situation; Focus on building advanced models and replicating good models; Pay attention to mass mobilization work in ethnic minority areas, remote and isolated areas; strengthen the inspection and supervision of mass mobilization work, etc.
