(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2014, on January 21st, a delegation from the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee, led by Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and presented gifts to several units and policy beneficiary families in Hung Nguyen and Nam Dan districts and Vinh City.

During a visit to extend New Year greetings to the Police Team protecting the Kim Lien Historical Site in Nam Dan District, Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh commended the police officers for their excellent work in protecting this special cultural and historical site, creating favorable and safe conditions for tourists visiting the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh. Wishing them good health and happiness in the new year, Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh hoped that the officers of the Police Team would continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, constantly strive, and fulfill their assigned duties.

During the Lunar New Year visit to Hung Nguyen District General Hospital, the Vice Chairman requested that the staff and doctors perform their duties well before, during, and after the Tet holiday; prepare all necessary facilities and medical supplies, be ready to provide emergency care to patients if needed; and organize visits and provide encouragement to patients undergoing long-term treatment at the hospital. He also visited and presented gifts to 17 inpatients at the hospital.

In the morning, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to the families of Mr. Phan Van Hoa (born in 1911, in Hung Tay commune), Mr. Nguyen Van Hoe (born in 1915, in Hung Yen Nam commune), Mr. Vo Quoc Phai (a disabled veteran, Hung Tay commune), and Mr. Pham Ba Nhac (a disabled veteran, suffering from chemical poisoning and currently experiencing a stroke, in Hung Yen Bac commune). On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh extended best wishes for the elderly to live happily and healthily; expressed deep gratitude and sympathy to the disabled veterans, and hoped that their families would strive to overcome difficulties and build a better life.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation continued its visits to extend New Year greetings to the following hospitals: Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and 15 patients currently receiving treatment; the Provincial Oncology Hospital and 30 patients currently receiving treatment; the Provincial Friendship General Hospital and 30 patients currently receiving treatment; Hospital 115 and 15 patients currently receiving treatment; and Military Hospital 4 and 30 patients currently receiving treatment.
