Comrade Dinh Viet Hong attended the Great Unity Day in Anh Son

(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of November 16, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong attended the National Great Unity Day with officials and people of village 9, Hung Son commune, Anh Son district.

Village 9 is located far from the commune center, has a total of 130 households with 631 people, of which 111 households are Catholic, accounting for 85% of the population.

In recent years, Catholic and non-Catholic people in the village have promoted solidarity, actively participated in economic development, and helped each other to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty.

Thanks to the dynamism, daring to think, daring to do, the spirit of mutual love and the promotion of the service industry, people's lives are increasingly improved and flourishing. The average income of people in the village in 2017 reached over 35 million VND/person; the poverty rate decreased to 0.53%.

The movement to build a cultural life and practice a civilized lifestyle has been well implemented by the people: 110 households have achieved the title of cultural family, 38 households have achieved the title of sports family...

Sharing joy with the people of village 9, Hung Son commune on the national solidarity festival, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong congratulated and commended the achievements that the village had made.

In particular, village 9 took the lead in the movement to mobilize people to consolidate land plots, change crop structure, and move sugarcane to high-yield fields. Officials and people in the village contributed 350 million VND to build a spacious cultural house that meets new rural standards; contributed working days and sand and gravel worth 550 million VND to build rural roads...

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the spirit of solidarity between religions and non-religious people towards the common development of the country and homeland; the consensus of the parish priest, the pastoral council and all the people at Dong Lam parish has contributed significantly to creating a new look for village 9 in particular and Hung Son commune in general.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong hopes that in the coming time, local cadres and people will continue to care for the cause of great national unity, solidarity between religions and non-religious people; build many models and typical examples in various fields; create social consensus to continue helping each other develop the economy, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, get rich legally, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic goals...
