On the morning of October 23, Politburo member and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan attended the ceremony and beat the drum to open the 2015-2016 school year at the Vietnam-Germany University in Binh Duong.
During the talk with the school's Board of Directors, lecturers and students, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan used English. This made more than 1,200 domestic and foreign students studying at the school excited, and many rounds of applause continuously rang out. After 7 years of establishment, Vietnam - Germany University has trained over 1,400 students and trainees with 4 bachelor's programs and 7 master's programs. The school is receiving support from the Association of more than 30 German universities across the federal state through providing training programs and professors teaching at the school. The entire program is taught in English; during the study process, students also learn German in parallel.
In the period 2015 - 2021, Vietnam - Germany University will deploy training in 6 majors: Telecommunications Electronics, Mechanics, Construction - Architecture, Environmental and Processing Engineering, Economics and Management, and Computer Science.
