(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 3, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Politburo member, President and the delegation visited the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, Nam Dan to offer flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and commemorate heroes and martyrs at the Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site.

Accompanying him were comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Internal Affairs Commission; comrades of the Party Central Committee: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education; Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Minister of Home Affairs; Le Khanh Hai - Head of the Office of the President; Nguyen Manh Cuong - Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee and comrade Nguyen The Ky - former member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of a number of departments, branches and Nam Dan district.

In a sacred and respectful atmosphere, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, leaders of the Party, State, Nghe An province and delegates respectfully offered flowers, incense, and observed a moment of silence to commemorate and express their infinite gratitude and deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of our Party and People, national liberation hero, and outstanding cultural figure.

President Ho Chi Minh has passed away, but his great career and noble example will live forever with the country of Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style will always be the ideological foundation and compass for all actions, guiding the Vietnamese revolution from one victory to another.

Implementing His sacred testament, over the past year, although the world and domestic context and situation had new, rapid and complicated developments, causing many difficulties and challenges greater than forecast, thanks to the wise, close and timely leadership of the Party leaders; the effective accompaniment and supervision of the National Assembly; the drastic direction and administration of the Government; the solidarity and close coordination of all levels and sectors; the drastic participation of the entire political system and the efforts of the entire Party, people and army, our country has successfully and quite comprehensively achieved its goals and tasks: focusing on both preventing and controlling the epidemic and promoting socio-economic recovery and development, building an independent and self-reliant economy associated with proactive, active and deep international integration.

Truong Bon, in My Son commune, Do Luong district (Nghe An) is a sacred land, a shining symbol of revolutionary heroism, where the blood of comrades and compatriots was shed in the long march to liberate the nation.

Truong Bon is the place where hundreds of thousands of young men who fought passionately in their youth crossed Truong Son to save the country; young men and women who brought their eighteen and twenty years of age into the war, they entered danger with all their optimism, desire to live and responsibility for the country.

1,240 outstanding sons fell on the legendary road, typically the heroic sacrifice of 13 youth volunteers of Company 317 on October 31, 1968.
