Comrade Phan Dinh Trac attended the Great Solidarity Day with the people of Nghe An highlands

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 10, comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission attended the National Great Unity Day in Trung Huong village, Yen Khe commune, Con Cuong district.

This is an activity towards the 87th anniversary of the National United Front Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2017).

Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission.

Talking to the people of Trung Huong village, comrade Phan Dinh Trac expressed his joy at being able to join in the great solidarity festival with the villagers in particular and Yen Khe commune in general - the first commune of Con Cuong district to reach the new rural finish line.

Emphasizing that the ultimate goal of building new rural areas is to improve people's lives, the Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee acknowledged the locality's positive steps in developing key crops such as oranges and tea... Currently, Yen Khe commune has nearly 157 hectares of rice, nearly 256 hectares of oranges, 225 hectares of tea...

"I really admire the commune's direction from the core of increasing production value to improve people's lives" - comrade Phan Dinh Trac shared in front of hundreds of people from Trung Huong village and Yen Khe commune when emphasizing that this locality is building new rural areas in the right direction.

Affirming that our country has achieved many results in many fields, however, there are still many difficulties and challenges, comrade Phan Dinh Trac requested the Party Committee, government, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and people to pay attention to implementing 5 contents.

First of all, the Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission proposed to thoroughly grasp Uncle Ho's teaching "The Front policy is an important policy. The Front work is very important in the entire revolutionary work" and the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress on promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, continue to pay attention to, lead, direct the consolidation, improvement, and further improve the effectiveness of the activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels, do a good job of propagating and mobilizing people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and local regulations.

Comrade Phan Dinh Trac also suggested continuing to summarize experiences, effectively implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", closely linking with emulation movements and major campaigns; at the same time, taking care of, coordinating and creating favorable conditions for the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations.

“The Fatherland Front at all levels must be extremely proactive and creative, using many diverse and rich forms to mobilize and organize people to participate in patriotic emulation movements; carry out well the work of supervision and social criticism, especially criticizing and condemning negative and corrupt behaviors, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and government,” comrade Phan Dinh Trac emphasized.

Especially for the people, the Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission wishes to continue to strengthen and consolidate brotherhood, good neighborliness, solidarity between religions and non-religious people; solidarity among ethnic groups, eliminate backward customs and social evils, and strive to become rich legitimately.

"Poor households should strive to become near-poor and well-off households; near-poor households should strive to become well-off and rich households" - comrade Phan Dinh Trac sent a message to the villagers.

Previously, the report of the Front Working Committee of Trung Huong village, Yen Khe commune showed that the village has a total of 213 households with 868 people living together, including Thai, Kinh, Nung, Dan Lai people. In the village, there are 17 people who are Catholic. People's lives mainly depend on agricultural production, so it is still difficult. The village still has 36 poor households with 145 people and 42 near-poor households with 187 people. The average income per capita is only over 13 million VND/year.

Over the past year, villagers have continued to unite to participate in economic development, actively helping each other to sustainably reduce poverty, improve living standards, and encourage legitimate enrichment.

Typically, the villagers have actively participated in building new rural areas by contributing 5,000 working days and 130 million VND in cash to build intra-field roads and 2,500 m of intra-village roads. The village has 10 farm models that bring in a stable income of 50 - 100 million VND/year.

Up to now, the whole village has 121 well-off households, an increase of 11 households compared to 2016 and 10 households have escaped poverty, a decrease of 11 households compared to 2016.

The people of Trung Huong village have united to build a cultural life, care for education, build cultural families, promote the tradition of gratitude, mutual love and support. Typically, the village has 100% of school-age children, no dropouts and 3 students studying at universities and colleges...

On this occasion, comrade Phan Dinh Trac and comrade Nguyen Xuan Son together with leaders of the province and Con Cuong district presented gifts to Trung Huong village, exemplary households, policy beneficiaries, poor households, and near-poor households; presented a solidarity house to Ms. Luong Thi Niem, a poor household, and planted a souvenir tree in the campus of the village's cultural house.
