(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 22nd, Comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, along with leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, visited and presented gifts to several families of war invalids and wounded soldiers in Vinh City.

During a visit and gift-giving ceremony on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to severely disabled war veteran Tran Van Thu in Phong Dang hamlet, Hung Hoa commune, Comrade Tran Hong Chau shared in the difficulties faced by the family. Mr. Thu is 81% disabled, blind in both eyes, and frequently ill, relying on his wife and children for all daily activities. In recent years, his wife has become seriously ill, making life even more difficult and arduous for the family.

Comrade Tran Hong Chau and the provincial delegation also presented gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to the family of war invalid Bui Viet Bich in Hamlet 4, Hung Chinh Commune. Mr. Bich has an 81% disability and has suffered complications for the past 10 years, rendering him unable to walk, speak, and frequently experiencing seizures. Mr. and Mrs. Bich currently live in a dilapidated single-story house.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Comrade Tran Hong Chau expressed gratitude for the contributions of war invalids and martyrs' families in the resistance war to protect the Fatherland, as well as their active participation in national construction in the new era. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hoped that the families of war invalids would uphold the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers and continue to contribute alongside Party committees and authorities at all levels to educating the younger generation about patriotic traditions. He also requested that the Party committees and authorities of Vinh City and its wards and communes further strengthen activities of gratitude and care for policy beneficiary families and those who have contributed to the revolution.
