(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the program of meeting with voters before the 14th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council, term 2011-2016, on the morning of June 20th, Comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, held a meeting with voters in Ben Thuy ward, Vinh city.

During the meeting with constituents, many voters expressed concern and made suggestions related to urban order and environmental pollution, such as continuing land clearance for households along Le Duan - Nguyen Du street, clearing land for 4 households located within the construction boundary on Phong Dinh Cang street, ensuring clear roads and sidewalks; taking strict measures to address the situation of cars stopping and parking on roads and sidewalks, affecting urban security and order; and the deterioration of roads such as Le Thanh Tong, Nguyen Vinh Loc, Nguyen Duc Dat, Hoang Thi Loan, and Ly Nhat Quang, which lack street lighting, have poor drainage systems, and experience flooding during rain, causing environmental pollution.

Provincial People's Council representatives listened to feedback and suggestions from voters.

Voters also suggested that the province should plan Ben Thuy Market as a wholesale market and commercial center, contributing to the construction of a civilized and modern urban landscape. They also called for rectification of the practice of hanging colored lights and decorative lights that negatively impact the growth and development of trees in many areas and streets of the city. Furthermore, they requested attention to controlling environmental pollution caused by Hoang Thi Loan Textile Company and Vinh Packaging Plastic Company.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Mau, a voter from Block 8, suggested that the province should pay attention to ensuring conditions that maintain urban order and civility in the city.

Voter Tran Thi Huong suggested that the State pay attention to the living conditions of Youth Volunteers with particularly difficult circumstances.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lien, a voter from Block 7, suggested that the province should have a mechanism for supporting block and hamlet officials.

In addition to the issues mentioned above, voters also suggested that the province should expedite and reach a final conclusion on the resolution of the petitions from members of the Ben Thuy Loading and Unloading Cooperative; that it should inspect and resolutely revoke projects that have exceeded their implementation deadlines and those that are not feasible. Solutions should be implemented to improve the quality of the staff, and a mechanism should be established to handle officials who make mistakes in the performance of their duties. Furthermore, many voters proposed that the province should pay attention to the working conditions and benefits for village and hamlet officials; the benefits for Youth Volunteers and those affected by Agent Orange...

After listening to 15 voters' proposals and feedback on 45 issues at the conference, Comrade Tran Hong Chau acknowledged the heartfelt and responsible opinions of the delegates, while also explaining some issues within the province's jurisdiction; and accepting one issue for further consideration, research, and resolution to meet the voters' aspirations. Comrade Tran Hong Chau also informed the voters about the socio-economic development and national defense and security situation in the province during the first six months of the year, and the tasks and solutions for the last six months of 2015; and informed the voters about some programs and contents that will be discussed and decided at the 14th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council, term 2011-2016, expected to be held in mid-July.
