(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 1, Nghia Dan District Party Committee held an extended Party Executive Committee Conference to evaluate activities in the first 6 months of 2014.

Attending the conference were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Committee, People's Council, members of the District Party Committee, and secretaries of grassroots Party organizations in the area. The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee chaired the conference.

The conference listened to comrade Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee read the Draft Report on the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks in the last 6 months of 2014.

In the first 6 months of the year, despite many difficulties, with the leadership and determination of the entire political system and the consensus and trust of all the people, the district has achieved very positive results. The economic growth rate is estimated at 9.47%. In economic development, thanks to good care and disease prevention, good leadership from superiors, the area and yield of main crops have all reached or exceeded the set plan, the total food output reached 28,750 tons, equal to 66.1% of the People's Council Resolution, up 7% over the same period. Continue to direct the work of building cultural, information and sports institutions that meet national standards at the grassroots level; promote the socialization of culture, arts and sports. Organize many activities on major holidays. Direct the grassroots to well implement the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas". Education is given attention, facilities are invested, 3 more schools are built to meet national standards...

The work of building the Party, government, Fatherland Front and people's organizations has been deployed synchronously. Organizing the implementation and dissemination of the Party and State's guidelines and policies in a timely and extensive manner among all cadres, party members and people. The focus is on the Conference to disseminate Resolution 8 of the Central Committee (11th term), deploying the 2014 thematic study "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh on promoting the sense of responsibility, fighting individualism, saying goes with doing", closely linked with the implementation of the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels and Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th term) on Party building, Resolution 26 of the Politburo on developing Nghe An, emphasizing the content of Nghia Dan district.

In the coming time, the Conference pointed out a number of key tasks, targets and specific solutions to successfully carry out the tasks in the last 6 months of the year. At the end of the Conference, Comrade Vi Van Dinh - Secretary of the District Party Committee believed that with the consensus of the entire Party Committee and the masses, the tasks in the coming time will be well performed, bringing Nghia Dan to develop more and more, worthy of the available potential of the district.

The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee thanked comrade Le Duc Truong and congratulated comrade Vi Van Dinh on his new position.

Also at the Conference, Comrade Le Duc Truong - Former Secretary of the District Party Committee officially retired from July 1, 2014. Before that, the District Party Committee held a meeting and unanimously elected Comrade Vi Van Dinh - Chairman of the District People's Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghia Dan District Party Committee.
