Comrade Vi Văn Định holds the position of Secretary of the Nghĩa Đàn District Party Committee.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 1st, the Nghia Dan District Party Committee held an expanded meeting of the Party Committee Executive Board to evaluate activities during the first six months of 2014.

Attending the meeting were representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, leaders of the District Party Committee, the People's Committee, the People's Council, members of the District Party Committee's Executive Committee, and secretaries of grassroots Party organizations in the district. Members of the District Party Committee's Standing Committee chaired the meeting.

The conference heard Comrade Tran Quoc Khanh – Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee – read the Draft Report on the situation of task implementation in the first six months of the year and the key tasks for the last six months of 2014.

In the first six months of this year, despite facing many difficulties, with the leadership and determination of the entire political system and the unanimous trust of all the people, the district has achieved very positive results. The economic growth rate is estimated at 9.47%. In economic development, thanks to good disease prevention and control, and good leadership from higher levels, the area and yield of main crops have all met or exceeded the set plan, with total food production reaching 28,750 tons, equivalent to 66.1% of the People's Council Resolution, an increase of 7% compared to the same period last year. The district continued to direct the construction of cultural, information, and sports facilities to meet national standards at the grassroots level; promoting the socialization of culture, arts, and sports. Many activities were organized to commemorate major holidays. The district directed grassroots units to effectively implement the movement "All people unite to build a cultured life in residential areas". Education has received attention, infrastructure has been invested in, and three more schools have been built to meet national standards...

The work of building the Party, government, Fatherland Front, and people's organizations was implemented synchronously. The dissemination and thorough understanding of the Party and State's policies and guidelines were organized promptly and widely among all cadres, Party members, and the people. The focus was on the Conference to disseminate Resolution No. 8 of the Central Committee (11th term), and the implementation of the 2014 thematic study "Learning and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh on upholding responsibility, combating individualism, and matching words with actions," closely linked to the implementation of resolutions of Party congresses at all levels and Resolution No. 4 of the Central Committee (11th term) on Party building, and Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo on the development of Nghe An, with a particular emphasis on the content of Nghia Dan district.

Looking ahead, the Conference outlined several key tasks, targets, and specific solutions to successfully implement the tasks for the last six months of the year. Concluding the Conference, Comrade Vi Van Dinh – Secretary of the District Party Committee – expressed confidence that with the unanimous agreement of the entire Party Committee and the people, the tasks will be successfully carried out in the coming period, leading Nghia Dan to further development and progress, worthy of the district's inherent potential.

The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee thanked Comrade Le Duc Truong and congratulated Comrade Vi Van Dinh on his new position.

Also at the Conference, Comrade Le Duc Truong – former Secretary of the District Party Committee – officially retired from his position effective July 1, 2014. Prior to this, the District Party Committee held a meeting and unanimously elected Comrade Vi Van Dinh – Chairman of the District People's Committee – to the position of Secretary of the Nghia Dan District Party Committee.
