Comrade Vo Van Thuong: Every party member must 'confine himself' to the discipline and order of the Party.

On the morning of January 11, the Party Central Committee Secretariat held a national online conference to review the inspection and supervision work in 2021 and deploy tasks for 2022. Attending and chairing the conference were Politburo members: Vo Van Thuong - Standing member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat; Tran Cam Tu - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission.

Many difficult, complicated, serious cases that have attracted public attention have been promptly inspected, clearly concluded, and strictly disciplined, having a great deterrent and warning effect.

At Nghe An bridge, comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Bui Thanh An - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee chaired.

During the year, Party committees at all levels inspected 51,620 Party organizations and 272,512 Party members, of whom 55,666 were Party committee members at all levels.

Inspection Committees at all levels have inspected 3,005 party organizations and 8,982 party members when there were signs of violations. Through inspection, it was concluded that 1,575 party organizations and 6,695 party members had violated; 194 party organizations and 3,465 party members had to be disciplined.

In addition, the work of building the industry continues to receive attention; the Inspection Committees at all levels are promptly consolidated; the organizational structure of the Inspection Committees at all levels continues to be streamlined and efficient; the team of inspectors at all levels is basically sufficient in quantity and ensures quality, meeting task requirements.

TIn Nghe An, in 2021, Party committees at all levels inspected 1,900 Party organizations with 3,250 Party members. Inspection Committees at all levels inspected more than 520 Party organizations with over 970 Party members when there were signs of violations; inspected the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks for 1,960 Party organizations; inspected the implementation of discipline for more than 1,700 Party organizations.

During the year, Party committees at all levels also disciplined 8 Party organizations and more than 1,000 Party members. Inspection Committees at all levels disciplined more than 120 Party members.

At the Conference, many presentations by provincial, municipal and affiliated Party Committees clarified the achievements of localities and units as well as limitations and shortcomings; at the same time, shared experiences in performing inspection and supervision tasks of localities and units.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Vo Van Thuong - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, on behalf of the Politburo and the Secretariat acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements that the Party Inspection sector has achieved in the past time.

Through the Party's inspection work, it has contributed significantly to changing and improving the quality of Party building work; helping to create a healthier social environment for socio-economic development; fighting and preventing degradation in ideology, politics, ethics, and lifestyle; preventing and combating corruption, negativity, waste, and group interests; and gradually strengthening the trust of cadres, Party members, and people in the Party and the State.

At the same time, through inspection and supervision, the industry has discovered shortcomings and loopholes in the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws, and proposed timely amendments and supplements.

After inspection, many localities and units were determined to correct violations, tighten their staff, and local and unit movements had many changes, bringing about clear results.

ENHANCE DISCIPLINE

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, comrade Vo Van Thuong requested to continue to fully and deeply perceive the position, role and importance of the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work; cadres and party members must be subject to the Party's inspection and supervision, "no forbidden areas, no exceptions"; each party member must "confine themselves" to the Party's discipline and order.

In addition, continue to research, study, thoroughly understand and effectively implement the Party's Resolutions, Directives, conclusions and regulations on inspection, supervision and discipline. Develop feasible inspection programs and plans that are suitable to the practical situation of the locality and unit.

Strengthen propaganda work, create high unity of will and action in the whole Party and society, first of all in Party committees, heads of Party committees, authorities, and organizations on Party inspection work to maintain discipline and order in the Party.

Strengthen the fight against, prevent and repel corruption and negativity; resolutely, persistently and determinedly prevent, repel and strictly handle degradation in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle, manifestations of "self-evolution, self-transformation" among cadres and party members with the motto: "Supervision must be expanded to detect, remind and prevent violations from occurring early and from afar, not allowing shortcomings and small violations to accumulate into large and prolonged violations". Disciplinary action must be strict and timely, "no forbidden areas, no exceptions".

Party committees, Party organizations and leaders must strengthen leadership, direction and guidance for lower-level Party committees, Party organizations and Inspection Committees to carry out inspection and supervision work.

Comrade Vo Van ThuongNote: Determining the direction and tasks of inspection work must closely follow the political requirements of the locality and unit in each period. Conduct inspection and supervision synchronously, focusing on areas and fields that are prone to violations. Focus on inspecting and supervising cadres and party members to comply with regulations on what party members are not allowed to do.

“Carry out the responsibility of setting an example for cadres and party members, especially leaders and key cadres, when corruption, negativity, internal disunity, violations of Party principles and regulations occur… Research and select typical areas to focus on inspection and supervision” - Comrade Vo Van Thuong emphasized.

Continue to develop and perfect Party and State regulations in the direction of enhancing responsibility and innovation; improving the quality and effectiveness of Party inspection, supervision and discipline work.

Encourage and protect cadres, party members, and leaders who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the development of the country. Closer coordination between inspection agencies and inspection, investigation, prosecution, and trial agencies in investigation and trial work. Promote the role of the Fatherland Front and political organizations, the press and the people in inspection and supervision work...

Along with that, the quality of the inspection staff must be improved. The staff performing the inspection and supervision work must have the courage to protect what is right, fight for integrity, and must be "honest and clean" themselves, know how to set an example, respect integrity, not succumb to any pressure or temptation to bribe; be truly fair and objective... At the same time, the work of controlling power in the inspection work must be taken seriously.
