Contributions of the team of collaborators to the growth of the Party newspaper

(Baonghean) - In 2016, Nghe An Newspaper has successfully completed its assigned tasks, worthy of being the voice of the Party, government and people of the province. The quality of both content and form of the newspaper's publications is increasingly diverse, rich and attractive to readers. That success has the great contribution of a team of collaborators spread across the country.

In 2016, Nghe An Newspaper completed publishing 358 daily issues, 51 NACT issues, and 4 special issues commemorating major national holidays. In addition to promptly reflecting current political, socio-economic, national defense and security information in the province, the Newspaper also carried out many in-depth topics, creating profound social effects, highly appreciated by readers. Typical topics: Revealing the fake document network; Thien Ngoc Minh Uy and the multi-level scam trap in Thai Hoa Town; Warning about substandard bottled and canned water; Around the new VNEN school model; Toll collection at Ben Thuy Bridge; Violations in the purchase, sale, transfer and use of forest land; Health insurance overspending...

Last year, Nghe An Newspaper had more than 25 works winning Central and provincial and industry journalism awards, including some winning high prizes such as: 1 National C prize; 1 First prize, 2 Third prizes of provincial journalism awards; 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes of provincial traffic safety journalism awards; 1 First prize, 1 Second prize of journalism awards about the health sector; 1 First prize and many other prizes of journalism awards about Cua Lo...

To achieve these successes, in addition to the efforts of the editorial board, there is a great contribution from the team of collaborators throughout the past year. Currently, Nghe An Newspaper has a fairly strong team of collaborators with more than 700 people, of which about 300 are active and regular collaborators.

Many contributors whose works appear regularly have created a "brand" in the hearts of readers, such as: Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Cuong - Former Director of the Institute of Strategy and Science of the Ministry of Public Security in the field of international news; journalists Duy Huong, Tran Hong Co in the field of Party building; in the field of economics, there is journalist Kim Hoa (Nhan Dan Newspaper); in the field of security and defense, there are contributors Hai Thuong, Cao Van Cam (Nghe An Border Guard), Le Thang, Phong Quang, Trong Kien (Provincial Military Command); Huu Thanh, Anh Tuan (Provincial Police), Thien Thao, Huu Trong (Cong An Newspaper)...

In the culture and education section, there are collaborators Ngo Duc Tien, Duong Huy, Viet Long, Vo Thu Huong... In 2016, the Newspaper received more than 20,800 news, articles, and photos from contributors, and 500 hotline information. Most of the news and articles from contributors are new information, reflecting the breath of life, so they were used promptly in publications: Nghe An Daily, Nghe An Weekend, Mountainous Ethnic Supplement, and Nghe An Electronic. Thanks to that, it contributed to creating a rich, diverse, and attractive source of information for Nghe An Newspaper.

From the feedback from the contributors, the editorial office has developed many in-depth topics to serve the political tasks of the province well. Especially, for sudden events that occur on a large scale such as the organization of political and social events, flood and storm prevention and control, natural disasters... when the editorial office has not yet deployed its forces or the reporter force is not enough to work in many places, the news contributors themselves have become "people of the editorial office".

The collaborators not only work according to the editorial office's propaganda direction, but also proactively propose ways to collect and process news and articles more vividly. Last year, nearly 50 collaborators were awarded monthly and extraordinary prizes by the Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper.

Besides the positive aspects, the work of collaborators in the past year also had certain limitations. In the process of collecting and processing information, some collaborators still made some mistakes. The connection between some collaborators and the editorial office was sometimes not very tight, the secretariat - publishing department and the reporter offices did not have many exchanges and specific instructions for collaborators to have more oriented and quality articles.

Entering 2017, in the context of increasingly fierce competition for information between different types of press and social networks, Nghe An Newspaper determined that improving quality and attracting more readers is an extremely heavy and arduous task. Hopefully, the editorial office will continue to receive more enthusiastic and effective cooperation from collaborators so that the newspaper of the provincial Party Committee can develop further, worthy of the trust and love that the Party Committee, the government, the people as well as readers near and far have given to the Newspaper.
