The simple tests below will help you detect early diseases your body is at risk of contracting.

1. Heart and lung disease

Place your hands together so that each hand forms an upside-down J shape as shown. Now pay attention to your index fingers that are touching each other. If they do not touch each other, it means your heart is completely healthy.

If there is no space between the nails of the two index fingers, it means that your nails are thickened. This means that the blood is lacking oxygen. There are many causes for this phenomenon, but the most common are cardiovascular diseases, lung problems and digestive problems.

2. Stroke and dementia

Raise your leg so that your thigh is parallel to the floor and hold this position for a while. If you can stand like this for 20 minutes or more, it means you have a low risk of stroke or dementia. Conversely, if you have difficulty balancing on one leg, there is a problem with the brain circuits.

3. Anemia

Stand in front of a mirror and pull down your lower eyelid. If the skin under your eyelid is pink, you are perfectly normal. If you are anemic, the skin under your eyelid will be pale pink or yellow.

Anemia is when your body's muscles and tissues don't get enough oxygen and can't function at 100%. If you notice yourself becoming pale, tired quickly, or short of breath, get checked out by a doctor.

4. Hormonal imbalance and trace element deficiency

Hair loss is a natural process. According to doctors, we lose 50 to 100 hairs every day. Take this simple test to see if your body is really healthy: When your hair is dry and clean, stretch a strand of hair. If only 2-3 hairs fall out, your body is normal. If the number of hairs falling out is more, you should see a doctor.

There are many reasons for hair loss such as: stress, poor hygiene, hormonal imbalance or other serious health problems.

5. Carpal tunnel syndrome

This test can detect a common condition among office workers, artists and cyclists called carpal tunnel syndrome.

Raise your arms so that your forearms are parallel to your face. Try to touch the base of your palms with your fingertips. If you can do this for 1-2 minutes, you are fine. But if you experience tingling, numbness, or pain in your wrists or fingers, you may have carpal tunnel syndrome. This occurs when nearby tissue grows into the median nerve, causing pain and numbness.

6. Diabetes

Ask someone to take a pencil and an eraser. Let them touch your foot and toes with the pencil and eraser respectively. Can you tell which order they touch your foot?

If you can't feel it properly, it means your nerves aren't working properly. Low sensitivity can be an indicator of diabetes.

7. Arterial problems

While lying on the floor, put your feet up against the wall at a 45° angle and hold this position for a few minutes. Then pay attention to the color of your feet. If your feet and toes are pale (almost white), it means that your blood circulation is poor.

Peripheral arteries carry blood to the limbs. And when the arteries are blocked, the muscles do not get enough oxygen and cause unpleasant symptoms such as numbness, pain, etc. This condition is called peripheral artery disease (PAD) and can be difficult to recognize through initial symptoms. If left untreated, PAD can lead to heart attack and stroke.

8. Hearing loss

To do this test, you need to be in a quiet room. Put your hand close to your ear and rub your fingers together. Can you hear a sound? Then, put your hand as far away from your ear as possible and rub your fingers together. If you can still hear a sound, your hearing is good.

9. Predicting cardiovascular disease

Climb a ladder (8-12 steps) while singing a song. Or you can talk on the phone or read something. The most important thing is to keep talking while climbing the stairs. If you feel your heart pounding and can breathe well, it means your cardiovascular and pulmonary systems are working well.

These simple tests cannot replace medical expertise, so see a doctor immediately if your body shows any unusual symptoms.
