The condition usually resolves on its own. Approximately 80% of children do not wet the bed for more than a year. If it persists, a doctor's examination is necessary for proper treatment.

Children who need treatment for bedwetting are those aged 5 years and older who wet the bed at least twice a week for at least three consecutive months. Some children only wet the bed during the day, some only at night, and some wet the bed both day and night.

- Use a pig's bladder, glutinous rice; 10-12g of *Ixora chinensis* seeds, 10-12g of *Schisandra chinensis* seeds. Cut open the pig's bladder, wash it thoroughly, stuff the herbs inside, and wrap it up. Simmer until tender with the glutinous rice. Remove and discard the herbs. Eat both the solids and the broth once in the afternoon. Use for 5-7 consecutive days.

- Take 8g of roasted Chinese yam, 60g of Ophiopogon japonicus, and 60g of Polygala tenuifolia. Dry them until crispy, grind them into a fine powder, and mix with the above ingredients to form pills the size of corn kernels. Store in a dry place and take twice a day on an empty stomach. For children, the dose varies depending on age, using 3-4g each time.

- When a child wets the bed frequently but with small amounts of urine, has a pale complexion, is thin, tired, has poor appetite, loose stools, and night sweats, use: Astragalus membranaceus 12g; Cimicifuga dahurica, Paeonia lactiflora, Leonurus artemisia, Poria cocos, Tribulus terrestris, Tribulus terrestris, Angelica sinensis, each 8g. Decoction to be taken once a day.

- When a child wets the bed with yellow urine, grinds their teeth at night, has red lips, hot feet, and a yellow tongue coating, use: Phellodendron bark, Gentiana root, and licorice root, 6g each; Gardenia fruit, Anemarrhena rhizome, Bupleurum root, Akebia stem, and Rehmannia root, 8g each. Decoction to be taken once a day.

- When a child wets the bed 2-3 times a night, has a pale complexion, is afraid of cold, and is tired, use: 8g each of *Thơ ty tử*, *Ích trí nhân*, and *Ba kích*; 12g each of *Đẳng sâm*, *Tổ con bọ vấn*, and *Phá cố chỉ*. Decoction to be taken once a day.

For children who frequently wet the bed, it's also advisable to limit soup and drinks during dinner and within two hours before bedtime.
